I am going to hold onto the idea that father might get better if they build a barn, because it will make him try harder to live. This is what Ben is hoping will happen since the barn is really important to father.
One big idea that I will hold on to while I read the rest of the book is, how high spirited Ben is. This is a big idea because, if Ben hadn't been so hopeful and spirited then he would never have figured out what Father can do. I will keep this in mind while I read the rest of the book, to remind me how hopeful Ben is in Father.
Nettie getting married because it huge in the book and what if it changes Nettie or Tod calls of the marriage if Tod calls of the wedding that will hurt Nettie and her feelings matter in this book.
The one thing that I am going to hold onto is that Ben thinks that he can cure Father by building him a barn. That is a big idea because it is a giant thing to build and there are only three of them. If they do finish it before it’s too late than it might cure father because that barn means so much to him.
The big idea I have about The Barn is don’t give up even if you think it can’t be done even if you think it is impossible. But even if you think its impossible, nothing is impossible.
The one idea I will hold onto throughout the book is Ben is very hopeful even though there is no hope. What this tells me about him is that he uses desperation as hope. For example, Ben thinks the barn will cure Father, though what I think is you can't fix someone from the outside if their hurt from the inside.
I think the main idea of The Barn is hope. I think this because Ben tries to tell Nettie and Harrison that father will get better no matter what, but Nettie and Harrison try to tell Ben that he is dying.
I think the one big idea is the barn because the book is titled that, and Ben thinks it will make Father better. Also Ben's dad had been talking about a barn for weeks maybe now they will build it and during the process Father will get better.
The one thing i'm going to hold on with me is will father die in some part of the book because he could just die in any part of the book. Why I will hold it in is it is the big idea rite know.
One big idea that I have is if Nettie gets married then Harrison and Ben have to do all the work and have to take care of Father so they might lose their claim.
I do not think that the new barn will actually make Father better but will make his spirits rise. If they do build the barn, I think that Father will do the gurgling stuff and blinking for like 10 min. and then everything will be back to normal and Nettie and Harrison will be really mad at Ben for talking them into something that stupid.
I think that the main idea of The Barn is that Ben is trying to fit in with his family but he is also trying to get Father better. When Ben gets mad at either Nettie or Harison it’s about him fitting in or trying to get father better.
One big idea I have is about Nettie because she is getting married. Seance Nettie is getting married Ben and Harrison will have to take care of the barn and father without Nettie, (but Ben might convince Harrison to build a barn with him).
One big idea have about the barn that I am going to hold onto while continuing to read is that father is going to die and their might be a cure later than he'll come back alive. ITS ALIVE!
I think that the barn will not make Father better because it is a object and usually objects don’t make people feel better. I think Ben wants the barn because it will remind him of his father and all the good times he and his father had.

ReplyDeleteOne big idea is that father won’t get better because he still can barely eat and if you don’t eat you will starve and die!

ReplyDeleteI wonder why they want to build a barn when father could die whenever so i think its a waste of time.
